Consumer Recovery Associates announced today that the company has selected the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) as one of the main organizations they are supporting with their charitable donations in 2011.

“We have donated to the Virginia Beach chapter of the MDA previously and have been impressed with the remarkable work the organization has done and is doing,” said CRA’s President Kalin Scott.

“The importance of MDA’s work that hits close to home,” said Scott, “because one of our employees has MDA. Knowing that, we definitely want to help the organization.”

Funds raised by the local MDA chapter go towards supporting Virginia Beach area families suffering from one of 43 neuromuscular diseases that MDA encompasses.
CRA holds a firm belief in giving back to the community. This commitment drives the company’s contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and other non-profits such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Salvation Army, LifeNet Health Foundation, the Virginia Beach Little League, The Barry Robinson Foundation and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
